As Singapore’s O Level 2009 students declare war on Venice, and Mr Loi and Little Miss Loi keep their respective H1/H2 Maths and Science joss sticks burning at The Temple, it seems only yesterday that some signed off their last attendance …
… when merry sounds of Miss Loi’s sweet & innocent ‘O’ Level 2009 students devouring their favourite Sour sweets were still echoing throughout The Great Hall of Salvation.
Suddenly I feel something is wrong without maths …
I rather go thru another wk of maths then going thru nxt wk so unprepared
i would rather do more maths now. =(
Putting aside quickly any feeling of 空虚, 寂寞 (i.e. feeling of emptiness resulting from severe Mathematical Withdrawal Symptoms), the time has come again for Miss Loi to temporarily switch her occupation from a tutor to a telemarketer.
And so while the whole lot of you have been out-manoeuvred by the Venetians last week, Miss Loi, like the same time last year has been sacrificing her shopping time catching up with all who had called/emailed her since last year, lending her ears to recurring 凄凉 tragic tales of
SOS~~~~ drowning in Maths …. failing Maths since P5 … failed badly … not interested in Maths … needs confidence boost … Dying … Maths is tough … obtained an F9!!! … very worried for her secondary education after PSLE … scores between mid 40s – 50s for her Maths exam … recent results for A maths 44.5, E Maths 54 … sigh … really need your help for my daughter’s math … very weak in Maths … if fail this re-test will need to retain/drop the subject!!! …
Having done this, Miss Loi is pleased to announce that The Great Hall of Salvation shall be open during the following GOLDEN windows in this school holiday period:
11-18 November 2009
28 November – 16 December 2009
Note: The above periods apply to Miss Loi’s classes only. Other classes at The Temple will continue as per normal – please contact Miss Loi for more details.
With the usual spectre of CCAs, camps, “no mood for tuition”, family tours, Miss Loi’s own tours looming this school holiday, the schedule for Miss Loi’s joss sticks sessions this holiday period shall be a flexible, ad-hoc affair, catering to all who wish to utilise the holidays to:
- Go through the basics, strengthen your foundation, and catch up on concepts that have been
blatantlywillfullybochup-lyneglected during the semesters. - Gain a ‘headstart’ (hmmm … this seems to be a popular word these days) to pwn your classmates in your new school term next year.
- DIE DIE ensure that you pass that re-test else you’ll be retained or be forced to drop the subject!!!!!!!11111
Everyone on the wait list, whom Miss Loi has successfully contacted, has been placed in classes within the above-mentioned periods. Miss Loi’s 2010 Semester I Schedule will be confirmed based on your individual timetables when school reopens.
If you have contacted Miss Loi previously but have not heard from her yet, please contact Miss Loi now! (before … umm … she suddenly disappears from civilisation 😛 )
Last but not least, GANBATTE to all A-Level students and ALL THE BEST to all in your final week of O Levels. Freedom Is Near!
