Folks, Miss Loi presents to you the following tragic scenes from The Temple – scenes reminiscent of students struggling to make their way to school in some flooded Third-World country.
During a freak shower at around half-past four yesterday, rainwater burst through the roof of The Temple, which you’d probably guessed by now is situated at the top floor of some building.
It happened at the time when the 3pm joss sticks session was coming to an end, when a student went to the toilet to “fix her hair”, and ended up getting her hair “fixed” by the shower on her way back to the classroom.
It was also the time when students began arriving for the 5pm joss sticks session, most of whom went absolutely berserk at the chance of playing in the rain indoors for the very first (and probably last) time ever in their lives.
Indeed, one student was even observed to be “dead serious” as she solemnly took pictures of the entire proceedings. This is the same student whom “dead serious” were the last words one would ever use to describe her in class.
Thankfully, apart from a few moldy carpets nothing of importance was lost to the flood. However Miss Loi rues the irreversible damage done to The Temple’s treasured ema board that contained the priceless O-Level wishes of her 2007 students.
Ironically it’s probably a good time to introduce the new Temple Annexe, which is the room the girls disappeared into in the second video, which was fortunately unaffected by the flooding. This has been Miss Loi’s main classroom for quite some time now, but she didn’t blog about it yet as she wanted to wait till the grand signage is put up … well …
In any case, all parents and students have been informed. From the bottom of her heart, Miss Loi is really sorry to all that were affected by what happened. But at the same time, she’s touched and grateful for all the support that kept the joss sticks burning and allowed lessons to continue yesterday and today.

But that’s not the end of it.
When she walked back to her car, she found that the open-air car park had been flooded as well, with floodwaters soaking the entire floorboard of her car! And now all the textbooks, worksheets and stationery inside the car are wet!
Wah office flooded! Now car also flooded! What a dramatic day with the rain! What a ‘Good’ Friday weekend!
Maybe she should just go find someplace and cry. 😥 😥 😥 😥 😥
