Celebrate the summer
Driving to the sea
Celebrate the feeling

Ironic isn’t it?
As students around the world welcome the summer with beach romps and wild parties, their counterparts here in Singapore ‘celebrate’ with the kickoff of another supremely exciting school semester ahead.
For Miss Loi that’s probably all well and good. After being brutally robbed of her annual pilgrimage to a shopping haven like Causeway Bay, 西門町, Dongdaemun *wake up wake up!* … by a particularly intense June holiday period that oversaw momentous events like The Opening of the Temple Gates and The Charge of the LMBFHS Brigade, perhaps she can now console herself with the latter half of the Great Singapore Sale.
With the successful conclusion of this first wave of intensive holiday tuition classes, here are some messages to the diverse group of devotees of her inaugural assembly (you know who you are!):
To the one who always turn up with a furry friend,
You are lucky I did not charge extra for your friend! Remember to finish up the test papers you owe me, and always keep in mind that the foreign cyborg in your class just scored 98 marks!
P.S. Do drop by just before your prelims/O-Levels for some extra tips.
To the one who always turn up with the mandatory drink in your hand,
Remember to keep practising and burn your joss sticks. In this age of the cyborg invasion, 75 marks is not likely to be enough for A1.
And stop molesting my furniture!
To the one who will suddenly have tons of ‘other’ test papers springing up from nowhere whenever I mention ‘homework’,
Hope you’ve enjoyed sitting on that sofa 🙂 I’m still waiting for you to finish and show me your ‘tons of other test papers’!
To the one whose occupation is a full-time tuition student,
You’ve missed too many lessons! Quickly make-up for those topics you’ve missed!
To the zen-like one who’s always in deep thought,
Snap out of your self-induced trance and start practising now – you’ll need to burn lots of joss sticks till you choke from the smoke! *that’s a nice rhyme!*
Please remember to do the extra exercises I’ve given you and show them to me soon!
To the one who emailed me,
Hope my reply was helpful to you.
To the one who was always in a constant state of banter with the one below,
Stop your teasing and instead focus more coz you can score! *another nice rhyme!*
To the one who was always on the receiving end of heavy bantering from the one above,
Would you like to work as Miss Loi’s assistant? 🙂
To all,
I cannot stress this enough but please, please continue to burn your joss sticks regularly. Joss sticks joss sticks burn so high! *ewww! that sounded so ‘lian’!!*By the way, what took you so long to start eating my snacks?! Why so shy? Miss Loi so fierce meh??
On a final note, now that the school holidays are behind us and school’s the in-thing again (at least for Singapore), guess Miss Loi shall resume her regular postings of A-Maths and E-Maths questions soon.
C’mon, all you maths nerds geeks admit that you’ve missed them sorely! Stay tuned!
